Polestar Comprehensive Studio Certified
Matwork and Reformer Senior Educator
Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) Certified
Daniel first came across the integration of Pilates with physiotherapy in 1998 when he was living in Australia. Since then, he has been teaching Pilates and personal training throughout Asia and Australia, including the world’s top destination spa, Chiva-Som in Thailand.
This experience, combined with his Bachelor’s in Applied Science (Human Movement Studies), has given him broad exposure to the health and fitness industry. His wide ranging exposure to various fitness training methods convinced him of the impact Pilates can have on a person’s life. Thus, Daniel decided to concentrate on teaching and developing Pilates for fitness and rehabilitation. The last few years he has been traveling Asia teaching the Polestar Pilates instructor training courses as well as presented several times at tthe Polestar Pilates Asia conferences.
Daniel shares “I strongly believe that our bodies have an inherent ability to heal itself and perform at peak levels without injuries, given the right environment, care and commitment.”

Jonathan Iskander
Bachelor of Physiotherapy
Australian Physiotherapy Association Sports Physio Level 1
HPS Clinical Pilates
Growing up as the son of a physician, Jonathan has always been fascinated by the human body. After undergoing physio and rehabilitation for a back injury as a teenager he decided physio was his true calling.
Jonathan is an Australian trained physio and has spent the last few years working in a busy Sydney clinic honing his clinical skills. On weekends he dedicates his time to sports coverage; working with a wide variety of athletes and sports ranging from high school basketball; to women’s representative rugby; to working with the cast of The Book of Mormon.
Jonathan has experience and expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy with a particular focus on the assessment and management of sports injuries. His passion is to assist everyone in achieving their personal goals with the mantra that ‘no two people are the same’. He tends to take a more functional approach towards getting the patient back to pain-free and their full potential. To achieve this, he uses a combination of hands-on therapy and active therapy to attain the best possible outcomes.
